A self activating bulkhead seal which ensures the watertight integrity of compartments in the event of flooding. No shaft liner is required since no parts rotate against the shaft. In the event of flooding of a compartment on either side of the seal, the water pressure forces the seal insert against it’s sealing face providing an effective barrier to prevent flooding of the adjacent space.

A split case, having an integral seal face is mounted on either side of the bulkhead. A split seal insert is mounted on the shaft and sealed to the shaft with an O-ring. The case is closed by a split cover also having an integral seal face.

Since all components are split, the seal can be installed and removed without disturbing the shaft-line.

Shaft sizes from 50-800mm are standard. Larger sizes can be supplied on request.
